Contests and Surveys

Visit of our Services or download of our app

We automatically collect information about how you use our sites and applications, the areas of our site that you visit, interactions with features and services, as well as information about your computer or mobile device including your IP address, device ID, physical location, browser and operating system type and version, time zone, and referring URLs. This information is necessary for providing personalized and location-based content as well as for analyzing the use of resources, troubleshooting problems, preventing fraud, and improving our services. Payment Processor: We may use a third-party payment service to process payments made through the Services. If you wish to make a payment thorough the Services, your personal information may be collected by the third party, and not by us. How We Collect Your Personal Information

Your personal information is collected in many ways and may include:

  • Personal data you provide to us directly: Personal data may be voluntarily submitted by you in the course of using our Services, such as when visiting our websites, communicating with us or in the process of requesting and using our Service (e.g. if you create an account or participate in discussions).

How We Use Information and Information on the Legal Grounds for the Processing

  • We use the information we collect in order to perform our contractual services or in preparation for a contract with you: We use the information to provide our services, respond to you, and to provide to you the features and functionality of the Services. This in particular includes: to create a profile for you; to provide personalized or location-based content and services, to allow you to contact other users or to invite others to join or create an account, to make purchases; to contact you about feature updates, informational and service-related communications, including important security updates, to provide products and services that enable users to network, post information on bulletin boards, view and compare profiles;
  • We use the information we collect if justified by our legitimate interest: The usage of your information may also be necessary for our own business interests. For example to operate and improve our sites and applications, and foster a positive user experience.   • To comply with legal obligations: In order to comply with regulations, laws or any authority requests, we may disclose your information to authorities or other officials and process your information according to applicable law (e.g. retain certain information according to tax or commercial laws).
  • We use your information after obtaining your consent: In some cases, we may ask you to grant us separate consent to use your information. You are free to deny your consent and the denial will have no negative consequences for you. You are free to withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. This also includes our marketing campaigns. If you sign up to our email newsletter you allow us to use this email address for email marketing, we will use your personal information to send you emails containing for example newsletters, promotion, contests, career advice and surveys as well as to inform you of other products or services available from KITE. If you previously chose to receive newsletters, commercial e-mails or other communications from KITE or third parties, but subsequently change your mind, you may at any time unsubscribe at the bottom of our marketing emails or by editing your account profile and thus withdraw your consent. We do not use your personal data for automated individual decision-making that produces legal effects or similarly significantly affect you. 

How We Share Information and Legal Basis for the Transfer

We disclose your information as set forth below:

  • We share your information with third parties who help deliver our products and services to you and act on our behalf. Examples include hosting our web servers, including database storage, analyzing data, providing marketing assistance, providing information technology and related infrastructure and maintenance and security as well as providing customer service. These companies will have access to your personal information as necessary to perform their functions, but they may not use that data for any other purpose. We will remain responsible for any information shared in this way (commissioned data processing).
  • We may share your information with independent third party provider and advisors where this is necessary to achieve out legitimate interests, such as conducting security audits, consult tax consultants and lawyers or engage payment processors to process payment transactions (legitimate interest).
  • We share information with all users of our platform in cases you provide content or to perform our services through features of our Service to a public forum, such as participating in our discussions that is accessible by all users of our platform. Such information may, for example, be accessed by user of our platform and may appear in our search engine search results (performance of service / consent).

Depending on the privacy setting of the information you provide to us, the company name as well as a general description of the company may also be accessible by the general public and may be searchable by search engines (performance of service / consent).

As one of our primary purposes is to provide you with a platform to broadcast the information about your Company and profile widely in order to maximize your networking opportunities, you may decide to share the information we gather with anyone using the KITE platform by setting your profile respectively.   

You should consider that such shared information may be distributed on a wider when a user shares a company’s information and profile with others through social media, email, and/or per a link.

When you post information on another user’s profile or comment on another user’s post, the public availability of that information will be subject to the other user’s privacy settings.

Furthermore, please note that information you post in public areas of KITE’s platform may be accessed, used, and stored by all others users of KITE around the world, including those in countries that might not have legislation that guarantees adequate protection of personal information as defined by your country of residence. While KITE restricts the use of the data in KITE’s Terms of Service and takes measures to safeguard your information from unauthorized access or inappropriate use, KITE does not control these third parties and we are not responsible for their use of information you give to us. Accordingly, you should not post sensitive information, personality profiles, or any other information you would not want made public, to any KITE site or application.

  • We disclose information if legally required to do so, or at our discretion pursuant to a request from a governmental entity or if we believe in good faith – after considering your privacy interests and other factors – that such action is necessary to: (a) meet legal requirements or comply with legal process; (b) to enforce our Terms of Service or protect our rights or property, in particular protecting the security or integrity of our Service; (c) prevent a crime or protect national security; or (d) protect the personal safety of users or others (legal obligation/ legitimate interest).
  • We may disclose and transfer information to a third party in connection with an KITE-related transaction, such as a merger, sale of KITE assets or shares, reorganization, financing, change of control or acquisition of any or all of KITE’s business units. In addition, in the event KITE becomes the subject of an insolvency or similar proceeding, such information will be disposed of in a transaction approved by the court (legitimate interest).

An Important Note About Your Profile

When you create a profile, we store it in our searchable database in the United States. You may control the status of your profile. We cannot control the retention, use or privacy of profiles that have been viewed or downloaded by others.

We attempt to limit access to our searchable database to legitimate users, but cannot guarantee that other parties will not gain access to this database. We cannot control the use made of resumes by third parties who access the database. Once your profile has been disclosed, KITE is not able to retrieve it from the third parties who accessed it. You may remove your profile from our searchable database at any time. However anyone who viewed your profile may have kept a copy of it in their own files or databases. Accordingly, you should not put sensitive information, personality profiles, or other information you would not want made public, in your profile.

Use of Cookies and other Tracking Technologies

KITE and our third-party partners listed below, automatically collect certain types of usage information when you use our Services. We collect this data through a variety of tracking technologies, including cookies, embedded scripts, file information, and similar technology (collectively, “tracking technologies”). We may collect and store data locally on your device using mechanisms such as browser storage and application data caches. Some cookies will remain on your computer after you have left our site. All current cookies remain on the client’s computers into perpetuity, or until whenever they reset their cookies manually.

Web Beacons and JavaScript: Kite uses web beacons (sometimes called pixels, clear gifs or action tags) and JavaScript to collect information about users’ visits to our sites and applications, measure and improve the effectiveness. They help us compile aggregated statistics and analytics about site usage. Web beacons are built into the page and cannot be refused. However, they can be rendered ineffective by opting out of cookies. JavaScript can be deactivated via your browser settings. If you disable JavaScript you will not be able to use some of the functions of the website.

Google Analytics

Google Analytic uses cookies which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. Social Media and Content Sharing

Our Services includes social media features, such as the Facebook Like button and widgets, such as the Share This button.
